Window to Stake Claim in $725M Facebook Suit Closing

[ad_1]

The Friday deadline for eligible claimants to file for a share of Facebook’s $725 million payout — over a privacy lawsuit — is fast approaching.

In March, a California judge granted preliminary approval to a $725M settlement deal between Facebook’s parent company Meta and users who claimed their data was accessible to third parties without consent, USA Today reported Monday.

The settlement applies to virtually all U.S. Facebook account holders from May 24, 2007, to Dec. 22, 2022. Users of the platform, who had their information stolen, must fill out a form with their information in order to receive an unknown share of the payout.
