I spent $160 on bunny teeth — I love them but haters call me ugly

A woman is fighting tooth and nail against internet trolls who are making fun of her “bunny teeth.”

Ulya Nikita, from Palawan, Philippines, is being targeted online after she spent around $160 on a procedure to lengthen her two front teeth, Caters reported.

Nikita decided to get the procedure after having her braces removed in 2017.

She asked the dentist to use a resin to make her two front teeth longer, but after having the procedure once, the dentist apparently missed Nikita’s desired length by a hare.

Her teeth also got damaged, according to Caters, prompting her to go to the dentist and request even longer teeth.

“While I was at the dentist, I asked for them to be a little longer than before because ever since I got the first ones back in 2017, I always felt like it needed a little more length, so that’s what I did,” she said.

“I love them. Even though I grew up in a community where every kid my age had braces, and straight teeth was and is the standard, I love them,” she added.

While Nikita appreciates her new smile, online haters hopped on the opportunity to criticize her new look.

Nikita posted a video last month on her TikTok, where she goes by @ulyanikitaa, showcasing her new teeth, and the clip has more than 4 million views — plus plenty of mean comments.

“Ummmm… its a bit too much. Looks unnatural,” one said.

“If I has her dentist I wouldn’t have done that,” added another.

However, many of Nikita’s fans adored her new look.

‘Why are people so mad about a decision that has NO EFFECT ON THEIR LIVES WHATSOEVER. Get over yourselves, she looks cute and she’s happy ✨,” wrote one of her supporters.

“honestly, keep on smiling , you’re beautiful!!!!!! x,” another said.

She also took the time to address both the negative and positive feedback with Caters.

“I got tons and tons of negative comments but also the same amount — if not more — of positive comments,” she said.

“At first, it hurt me a little for people to tell me outright that they were ugly, but honestly, so much more people loved them, and the most important part is that I love them,” she added.

And now that Nikita has bunny teeth of her own, she started spotting others who have teeth like hers.

“I never paid too much mind to the little quirks of other people’s teeth, but ever since I got my bunny teeth, I started noticing more and more when someone had them.

“Not only that — I also thought about how lucky other people were when they had natural bunny teeth.”

In addition, she said she started spying others’ unique teeth.

“As time passed, I didn’t only notice when someone had natural bunny teeth; I also started noticing when others had their canine teeth higher than usual and thought it made them look prettier cuter, or more handsome,” she said.

Nikita additionally said she was surprised that people were so taken aback by her decision to alter her smile.

“I didn’t think people would get so shocked with the fact that I wanted longer two front teeth, and if people are getting them more now than before, then dentists everywhere must truly love me!” she said.

However, another beauty influencer who had dental work was far less pleased with her results,

Last year, Layla Muntas was aghast after her dentist gave her a tragic trio: three front teeth.
