This isn’t a great look for Anthony Rendon.
The Los Angeles Angels third baseman, who’s on the 60-day injured list with a shin injury, ducked a question Sunday on his health.
Rendon said, “No habla inglés today,” before putting on a hoodie and leaving the clubhouse, according to The Athletic’s Sam Blum.
That comes months after the 33-year-old Rendon was suspended for four games by Major League Baseball after video of a physical altercation with a fan in Oakland went viral.
The Angels slugger was recorded grabbing a fan by their shirt at Oakland’s O.co Coliseum after losing the season opener to the Athletics, 2-1, appearing to take a swipe at him — though he did not connect.
Rendon has played in just 43 games this season, continuing a disturbing trend following the massive seven-year, $245 million contract he signed after the 2019 season.
Rendon has played in just 200 games in four seasons (including the COVID-shortened 2020 campaign) since arriving in Anaheim.
That includes 58 in 2021, 47 in 2022 and 43 this season as the one-time All-Star has battled several injuries over the years, including a groin strain, knee bruise, hamstring strain and hip surgery in 2021, as well as right wrist surgery in 2022.

However, Rendon’s contract might not be the worst one signed ahead of the 2020 season.
That honor goes to one of his former teammates.
Washington Nationals right-hander Stephen Strasburg also signed a seven-year, $245 million contract that winter.
Earlier this month, the three-time All-Star and 2019 World Series MVP retired after failing to fully recover following surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome.
