Yankees promoting Jasson Dominguez

The Yankees’ spree of promotions includes The Martian.

Jasson Dominguez is on the move and heading from Double-A Somerset to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, The Post confirmed Tuesday. The Athletic first reported the development.

Now one step away from The Bronx, Dominguez will step into a Triple-A outfield that Everson Pereira is no longer roaming.

Pereria and infielder Oswald Peraza have been called up the majors and are expected to officially join the roster for Tuesday’s series opener against the Nationals.

Dominguez is the club’s No. 2 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, and has reached Triple-A before he can legally drink.

The 20-year-old had gotten off to a slow start in Double-A, where Dominguez was hitting just .198 — although with a .341 on-base percentage — with 10 home runs in his first 73 games.

But since July 8, Dominguez had torn up Eastern League pitching. In his last 35 games with Somerset, the switch-hitter hit .351 with five home runs, 15 steals and a .961 OPS.

Dominguez, a natural center fielder who has gotten looks in left this year, was one of the most hyped prospects ever coming out of the Dominican Republic.

With his out-of-this-world nickname and comparisons to Mickey Mantle, The Martian was signed for a franchise-record $5.1 million in 2019.

It probably is too late for Dominguez to help the major league club this season, but he is now one call away — and might be positioned to compete for a major league job in next year’s spring training.
